A Year to Rejoice

A year of God's increase This year has been a year of stepping out and God meeting us to bear fruit. What an awesome privilege to have Father God and Jesus Christ, our Savior. What a privilege to be connected by the Holy Spirit in this world of so much turmoil and challenges.  For the following things that brought us joy in serving we give God all the glory. Without His guidance, His furnishing of funds to meet needs and operate, we would go nowhere. Without Him we would not see the beautiful souls coming to Jesus that happened this year.  We saw God open the doors for three widows groups to begin projects and become an active part in their congregations, no longer forgotten or ignored. Food outreaches touched hearts and brought in the lost. We saw follow up going on with the pastors and their teams reaching out to get the new converts grounded in the Word and the Spirit of our Living God. God helped us have funding to furnish curriculum for the new converts leaders.  A great joy was God allowing us help with some of the funds for the Truth Fountain Evangelistic team to build…

Heaven gains a queen, we lose a faithful warrior…..

Linda James, our faithful friend, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed into glory November of 2025. She will be missed greatly, but we also rejoice, she is in the presence of the King of Kings. She is resting from her labors. She has left a great army behind to carry on the works of the kingdom.  She was writing articles to bless our readers, but only got one here before she left for her new home. Here is the link: Raindrops in the Desert By Linda James – The Remnant Afire, Inc.

Aggressive prayer: What it is and What it isn’t

Aggressive prayer brings forth fruit. But we must know what this kind of prayer truly is, why it brings forth fruit, and how it works. We must also know what it is not, and why it doesn't work sometimes. Does aggressive prayer have to be loud ? Maybe, and maybe not. Authority doesn't have an assigned volume. Sometimes the quietest words pack the most punch. Other times loudness gets the most attention.  What is the purpose behind aggressive prayer? To take down the enemy of our souls. Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Where is the aggressive prayer power located? In our tongue. Proverbs 18:21 Death and live are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Aggressive prayer is meant to bring forth LIFE, salvation, deliverance, healing and ALL the things of God.  What does God's Word say about aggressive pray-ers? The enemy seeks whom he may devour. But our stedfastness, in the Lord, defeats the enemy as our God of all grace strengthens and settles us.…

Raindrops in the Desert By Linda James

Thoughts to Ponder At first glance, the desert appears bleak, barren and dry, but let a brief shower blow in, and the desert is transformed into an unexpected object of beauty. Within a very short time, blades of green appear usually topped with splashes of brilliant color. The wasteland had been hiding LIFE beneath its hot, sandy terrain. Even so, circumstances, can cause our lives to appear barren and dry, giving the impression there is no real life, hope or even relief from the heat.  Then comes: Small glimpses of coming change….A kind word spoken with a genuine smile…A hug of comfort in place of a cold shoulder…Small revelations that breathe hope and life into impossible situations… A new quickening of the reality that Jesus meant it when He said we could rejoice when facing tribulation, because He has faced it before us, and has overcome it. All acting as droplets of refreshing rain and giving gentle illumination to our path in the midnight hours.         And this is how I desire this page to be received; as raindrops gracing the dry, barren areas of someone’s heart, causing Hope and Life and Truth to spring forth once again. I may…

God’s Perfect Team

God's Perfect Team Two things are necessary to work together in God's Kingdom; the Word (Logos) and the Spirit (Rhema). In Genesis God shows the perfect connection of the two working in the Garden of Eden at the time of Creation. Genesis 1: 2-3 says, And the Spirit of God MOVED upon the face of the waters. And God SAID, Let there be light: and there was light.  The Spirit of God moved, God Spoke His Word, and the action took place. Until God spoke the Word, Action did not take place. Now, if we apply this to our lives it translates to, we MUST be born of the SPIRIT for the WORD of God to begin to create the person God wants to make of us. We study the Word and the Spirit of God within us begins to bring LIFE to us. Our understanding is awakened by the Holy Spirit of God within.  We need the God-planned combination of Spirit and Word to maintain balance in the Kingdom of God. It is a discipline we need daily in our lives to read the Word and to seek the wisdom and knowledge of God as He reveals it to us…

Thou Wilt Keep in Perfect Peace

Perfect Peace Isaiah 26: 3 KJV Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. So what is "perfect peace"? So often in this world our minds are troubled with a barrage of things happening, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and even physically. We are bullied, buffeted, lose friends and things, and many other things. So how can this verse possibly apply? Do we know how to "Stay our mind on God?" Do we know how to "Trust" Him?  There is a key, and it is found in the beginning. Jesus said, Ye must be born again of the Spirit of God. God is a spiritual God and we must become spiritual offspring for Him to create in us a sound mind and a right spirit.  If you do not know God, or have a relationship with God, please feel free to get in touch via our contact information and we will email you a free booklet, pray for you, and answer any questions we can. We care about you, and our God cares even more. He loved you so much He sent His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON that you might be born of…

Widows groups receiving a new start

Lawakhakha, Kenya The Remnant Afire Inc. team, partnered with the Truth Evangelistic Missions Outreach (Pastor Anthony Omara) to travel to Kenya for an outreach mission.  As a result we were drawn to a one-time project that would bless each of three widows groups. The project began when we asked them what their biggest challenge was and how could we be a part of the answer for them besides to pray.  Their answer was, "We are lonely. We need fellowship and a purpose that we can matter in God's Kingdom." Out of this request came the following project from Pastor Athony Omara. Buy chairs that the ladies can rent for a business. This would provide many things: Income for their families, training in running a business successfully, and fellowship as they worked together. We requested that, not only would they fellowship together as they worked, but also have two special times together to worship and pray each month. We also asked the pastors to include them in their worship, greeting, and prayer teams. The pastors are doing wonderfully in encouraging this element and are not just blessing their widows, but are sharing with other churches so this idea of blessing widows…

The harvest is ready, laborers are few

May 30, 2025   The harvest is ready, laborers are few.... I know it has been some time but now we are ready to begin our blogging and we take seriously KJV Bible verse in John chapter 4 and verse 35 which says, "Say not ye, there are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, for they are white already to harvest." This is Jesus Himself speaking, back at that time! Now it is late in the space of time allowed for this earth to continue before He comes again, and the urgency is tangible.  We look forward to sending forth His messages. All are welcome, indeed He says, "I am come that ALL might be saved." He is building a people to dwell forever with Him in His Father's Kingdom. How important it is that we share this good news with everyone who will hear and receive.
